“Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” actor Michael Cera underplays what a great poker player he is.
While director Edgar Wright was coordinating the complicated action scenes, the cast was left with a ton of down time. Hence Cera found himself playing cards with Johnny Simmons and Kieran Culkin.
“I wouldn’t say I’m great,” Cera, 22, told PEOPLE, but confessed that his pals “didn’t know what they were getting into … I play in a really good game in L.A. with really good players, people who are a few levels above me.
“I just try to walk away with my money from that game, and that’s made me a better player.”
“He’s a damn good poker player, and he takes all your money,” verifies Simmons.
“Michael and Kieran Culkin are shark-level. I lost so much per diem to those guys” adds the actor.
